Sarobetsu moor is the northernmost moor of peatland soil, and is located about 30 km to 45 km south of Wakkanai city.
The width of the area is about 10 km along the Sea of Japan.
It is within the Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu National Park, and is also designated wetland under the Ramsar Convention.
In most parts of the area, moor with grasses spreads, rivers snakes through, and many lakes are dotted.
The beautiful season is summer, because many flowers bloom.
Especially from mid-June to early July is the best season.

It is located about 1 km east of JR Tokumitsu station, and about 7 km north of Totoyomi station in the center of Toyotomi town.

This is nearly the center of the area, and it is located 5 km west of JR Toyotomi station. It takes 12 minutes by route bus from Toyotomi station.

The popular spot is located about 6 km west of Gensei-kaen, and the route bus passing through Gensei-kaen comes here. It takes 19 minutes from Toyotomi station.
Additionally by car, we can have a drive along the coast from central Wakkanai. The distance is about 40 km, and it takes about an hour.
The best route is along the coast from Wakkanai.
