Kaike Onsen is a hot spring resort located about 5 km north of the center of Yonago city.
It is the largest hot spring resort in San-in region (the Sea of Japan side in Chugoku Region).
In 1890, a fisherman found a hot spring around Miho Bay.
Then, a land developer in Yonago city developed as a hot spring resort in the early 20th century.

The onsen town faces Miho Bay and there are more than 20 hotels and ryokans along the Yumigahama beach.
The area is about 1 km from east to west.
The beach in front of the resort was improved as a bathing beach in 1978.
And Japan's first triathlon race was held around Kaike Onsen in 1981.
There is Sightseeing Center (Kanko-Center) in the center of the town, and there is the bus stop.
A foot bath is "Hanakaza-no-Ashiyu" near the facility.
And another foot bath "Shiokaze-no-Ashiyu" is near the beach.
