Yokohama Museum of Art is an art gallery with mainly modern and contemporary art, and photographic art.
It is located at just north side of Landmark Tower and Landmark Plaza.
The museum was opend in 1989.
Because Yokohama Port was opened to the world in 1859, this museum houses about 10,000 works created after the time.
And about 4,200 works of them are photographs.
The workshops for children and general citizen are often held in the museum.
This museum puts effort into the education about art for the citizen.
In addition, there is a cafe, a restaurant and a shop in the museum.
