Sasuke-Inari shrine ("Sasuke-Inari Jinja" in Japanese) is a Shinto shrine.
It is located about 0.4 km southwest of Zeniarai-Benten and about 1.2 km west-northwest of JR Kamakura station.

It is said that it was founded on the orders of Minamoto Yoritomo who was the founder of Kamakura government in the 1190s.

Around 1160, he saw an Inari God in his dream.
The God said to Yoritomo, "You should raise an army now."
He did so, and he won the strong political enemy in Japan.
So, he could founded new government.

He built this shrine to appreciate the gods.

The head shrine of "Inari shrine" is Fushimi Inari-taisha shrine in Kyoto.
This shrine is one of the normal Inari shrines.

Inari shrine usually has the tunnel of many red Torii gates and the statues of fox.
There are such gates and statues in this shrine.

In this shrine, the gods of social success are enshrined.
So, many examinees and entrepreneurs visit here.
