Nabana no Sato [なばなの里]

Nabana no Sato is a flower park located in Nagashima district in Kuwana City.

Nagashima district is a narrow area sandwiched between Kiso River and Nagara River.
And, it is located about 20 km west-southwest of Nagoya city.

Nabana no Sato is near Nagara River, and is a park about 700 meters from north to south and about 250 meters from east to west.

A lot of colorful flowers bloom in the wide gardens.
Ume blossoms, tulip, narcissus, rose, Japanese iris, hydrangea, dahlia, cosmos, etc. come out from early spring to autumn.

Begonia Garden is a garden with four big greenhouses.

Over 10,000 colorful flowers including 5,000 begonias are decorated like huge picture in the house.

Illumination held from mid-October to early May is very popular.
For this illumination, foreign tourists also visit here.

It is the largest illumination show and beautiful illumination works based on a theme are set up every year.

Island Fuji is a moving observatory.

It rises to 45 meters above the sky and we can see all directions of 360 degrees for 7 minutes.

There are some various restaurants and cafes, a souvenir shop and a flower market in the site.

How to get here

By express bus for Nagashima-Onsen, about 35 minutes from Meitetsu Bus center near Nagoya station.
About 20 minutes from Nagashima-Onsen (Nagashima Spa Land).

Or, by route bus, about 20 minutes from Kintetsu Kuwana station.
