Ryukyu Mura Park

Ryukyu Mura Ryukyu Mura is a theme park introducing traditional Okinawan culture, and is in On'na village.
It is located about 7 km east of Cape Zanpa.

In the park, there are seven old houses in Okinawa.
They were built between the early 19th and the early 20th centuries, and has been moved from every region of Okinawa Island and rebuilt in this park.
They have value as cultural properties.

And there are the traditional pottery factory and sugar factory.
In Okinawa, sugar has been made from sugarcane. And water buffaloes has been used as the power sourse.
We can see the working buffaloes here.
And we can learn some traditional cultures of Okinawa such as making Bingata, indigo dyeing, playing Sanshin, dancing Eisaa.
Also we can wear the kimono of Okinawa.

How to get to here

By route bus

By route bus with route No.20 or 120, about 1 hour and 10 minutes from central Naha to Ryukyu-Mura stop.
